Premier League side West Ham have been named as the opponents for Stephen Purches’ testimonial game.
The Hammers will visit the Goldsands Stadium on Saturday 13th July for what is likely to be the Cherries’ first pre-season friendly as they prepare for life in the Championship.
Howe: Testimonial game will be a great occasion

Manager Eddie Howe believes it will be a “great occasion” when West Ham visit the south coast for Stephen Purches’ testimonial game.
The Cherries will welcome Sam Allardyce’s team to the Goldsands Stadium on Saturday 13th July, and Howe believes Purches’ former club represent the perfect opposition to celebrate the long serving defender’s ten seasons at the club.

AFC Bournemouth’s 2003 promotion winning squad returned to Dean Court on Sunday (21st April) to help long serving defender Stephen Purches kick-off his testimonial year.
The squad, including captain Carl Fletcher and fans’ favourites Steve Fletcher and Wade Elliott, were reunited for the first time since their memorable win at the Millennium Stadium at the sold out event, which was sponsored by Alan & Thomas Insurance Group.
